It is my pleasure to extend a warm welcome to the official website of The Kappa Iota Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. The Kappa Iota chapter was established Saturday, March 20, 1976, by fifteen forward thinking women seeking sisterhood. As chapter president I am honored to serve alongside my sisters and provide the necessary leadership to implement the sororities programs on campus and in the local community, while proudly standing on the 112-year legacy of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, thrives on the foundation of sisterhood! We bound ourselves in a lifelong commitment to be our sister's keeper. Since our founding 112 years ago, many resilient women in our illustrious organization has kept the vision of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated alive and thriving. We work together as sisters to collaborate, support, and serve our communities as well as each other to complete initiatives for the betterment of our communities. Not only do the ladies of the Kappa Iota exude grace and elegance, but we also excel academically. A woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha, prides herself of being an college educated woman with high moral and ethical standards. We pride ourselves of being servants to our community as well as outstanding scholars. The ladies of the Kappa Iota Chapter, are noted to have received awards in regard to excelling in academia. To be a woman of Alpha Kappa Alpha is a privilege, but we have mastered the balance of possesing both beauty and brains.
Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated is a service based organization. We strive to serve our communities, keeping civic engagement and public service at our forefront. We work as sisters to incorporate initiatives in our communities in the means of events, programs, and drives to improve the health and well-being of our communities.
